A concert on a cruise ship featuring Highlife legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede and Jamaican Reggae artiste, Gramps Morgan has been launched in Accra.

The maiden event dubbed Afro Cruise Jam is being orgainsed by Cruise People, a travel cruise shop operating in Ghana.

It will be a seven-day all-inclusive concert from Wednesday, September 7 to September13, 2022.

In addition to the concert, patrons will tour six cities in Europe namely Athens, Patmos, Heraklion, Santorini, Mykonos in Greece and Kusadasi in Turkey.

Launching the programme at the Valco Trust House in Accra, the CEO of Cruise People Limited, Mr Daniel Vanderpuye, said patrons of Afro Cruise Jam would enjoy live entertainment aboard the cruise ship with good cultural and music performances.

He explained that patrons will also be offered the opportunity to explore beautiful islands and landmarks in Greece and Turkey as well as visit UNESCO-listed archaeological sites to discover enchanting cities, towns and villages on the Greek islands.

Other benefits on board the cruise ship will include cabin accommodation, full meal of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At the launch, Highlife legend Amakye Dede promised patrons of the concert an electrifying performance.

He added that the event will also help to showcase Highlife music while pushing Ghanaian culture to the world.
